Trees

Ever wonder what kind of trees you have in your backyard? Well, I have to say they are much easier to identify BEFORE the leaves fall off. I have a tree in my backyard I am trying to identify and I found a great source I thought I would share.
Here is a link to the Arbor Day site where you can follow a series of questions which helps you to identify your tree.

Where Am I?

Sorry I've been so absent. Regular posting will hopefully soon resume!Last Wednesday Katie and I went and got the "flu mist". We both felt pretty junky over the weekend. Katie had a small fever for a few days.
I figured by today I'd be all better. Regrettably, Not so. I woke up with an awful sore throat and I can barely swallow. I don't feel too hot.

Deer

We've been seeing deer in our backyard every night now. There is a group of 3 that regularly come for the corn and apples we put out for them. Last night I tried to take a couple of pictures. They aren't the best, but I wanted you to see our friends.

Thanksgiving

I am thankful for my family.
And friends- especially the Vasey family who has accepted our youngest son Brian into their family. That is where he is today.
I am thankful for food.

But, Oh, what a lot of food for just 3 people.

This was taken at my parent's 5oth wedding anniversary party. Not sure of the exact date this was taken, but sometime in the fall of 2006. Hubby was in Korea so he didn't make it, but this is me and my kiddos along with my parents.

Raking Leaves

It appears that I have really neglected this blog. There's just not much going on here in the Wilde house. Nothing worthy of blogging anyway.
Today is Saturday though and Kevin and Katie are out in the cold raking leaves. So, I just went out and snapped a few pics for you to see them in action! Katie is working in the back and Kevin is on the side of the house. We have lots of beautiful trees. But when the leaves started to fall, they really came down! At times it looked like it was snowing big colorful leaves!Katie just came in and told me Kevin's rake broke.
